Why Swing?
Swing jazz bands can be a fabulous addition to any party or wedding. They will provide a sophisticated and classy accompaniment to your event. Swing bands are often used as background music to provide an easy going ambiance to the proceedings or as music to dance to in the old fashioned way!
What Is The Best Line Up For A Swing Band?
The line up and size of the band which will suit your party will depend very much on what type of atmosphere you wish to create at your event and the budget you have in mind. Solo and duo line ups will be most suitable for dinner jazz (ie background music which creates a lovely atmosphere but is easy to talk over) the bigger line ups which include drums are best to dance to. We also have some solo players who work with backing tracks in order to give you a full band sound with solo musician budgets and space requirements.
What Kind Of Swing Bands Are Available To Hire?
LMM have all kinds of swing bands available to hire from solo piano player/vocalists and duos right up to sixteen piece big bands. We have bands with various line ups from the classic piano, double bass, drums and vocals quartet to more larger combinations which might involve saxophones, trumpets and trombones (aka the horn section), Stephane Grappelli style violin players or close harmony swing singers. We also have tributes to classic vocalists from the swing period like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Michael Buble.
