Solo Jazz Piano
Act fee up to £495
Alec is a versatile, talented young pianist who specialises in the classic ballads and well-known swing numbers from the Great American Songbook. His extensive repertoire can be tailored to suit a variety of corporate and private functions. For a mellow, relaxing and sophisticated background ambience, Alec can perform the cool and classy hits of Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, and he adds the perfect touch of romance to wedding receptions with the lyrical ballads of Gershwin and Cole Porter. When an upbeat mood is required, he will play a swinging, toe-tapping selection of Jools Holland-inspired boogie-woogie and rhythm and blues numbers. For larger functions, Alec can provide the ideal line-up of musicians to fit the occasion (piano can be augmented with a mixture of vocals, saxophone/trumpet, guitar, bass and drums), and is always happy to discuss individual requirements with clients prior to events.
A classically-trained pianist, Alec has studied jazz performance with some of Britain's premier musicians, including renowned pianist John Taylor, and is a graduate of Leeds College of Music, where he was recipient of the Fame Academy award for promising new talent.
