LMM Blues Brothers

Act fee £800 to £995

LMM BLUES BROTHERS is a show not to be missed! Much more than just a tribute show, The boys make sure each and every performance is different, in order to personalise each show and tailor it to your requirements!

This Show started life in 2002 under the working title of "The 21st Century Blues Brothers". It was formed by two good friends, Dave Wiggins and Colin Smith. Dave had the idea whilst working abroad in Tenerife between 1999 and 2001, and watching other tribute acts.

Dave says, " I saw many tribute acts and impersonators working the cabaret circuit in parts of Spain and the Spanish islands, around the time of the Millenium. They were ok, very entertaining, but many of them appeared to be somewhat unpolished. I thought for a long time that I could put together a really professional show, incorporating all of the music from both "Blues Brothers" movies, adding spontaneous comedy, choreographed dance routines, audience participation and occasionally even a touch of fire-eating for good measure! That's exactly what I acheived, but far from sit back and be happy with the end result, I strive to make this show the best it possibly can be, therefore we are constantly working on new material, new routines and comedy to make each performance better than the last."

In 2009 Colin left the band due to personal circumstances. He and Dave remain really good friends, but it left Dave looking for a new Elwood; a tough role to fill to say the least! Once an 'Elwood' had been found, it was time to give the show an overhaul, or a 'facelift'; therefore Dave decided to re-name the show, and to re-work the entire format to make it fresh for himself, as well as his new addition, James Proctor.

This award-winning show has been in operation for eight years, and and the boys have performed all over the UK and across Europe. 2010 holds engagements for the band at Scotland's prestigious Highland Games (as headliners) as well as performances in Dusseldorf, Germany, and even MALAWI, AFRICA!

This act is best suited to private parties, weddings, corporate events and similar occassions, but is versatile enough to adapt to most venues, indoor or outdoor!

The boys perform primarily as a duo, with the focus being solely on Jake and Elwood, although they can also quote to be accompanied by a full band if you wish.

The act is fully self-contained and their equipment includes a PA system (between 1kw and 10kw) and a full lighting rig. The show can be performed as either a single 90 minute show, 2 x 45 minute sets, or a 1 hour 'greatest hits' show. The boys can also quote to include the supply of 'disco' style music after the performance if your event requires it; often saving you the need to book a DJ separately.
