DIFFUSION is your one-way ticket to the sizzling, scorching sounds of LATIN AMERICA and the CARIBBEAN. The 11-piece line-up (2 vocalists, 3 percussionists, 4 horns, piano and bass) lends itself to an expansive 'BIG BAND' sound - without losing the dynamism and spark of a small group; and combines sensuous vocals, sophisticated horn lines and explosive percussion solos.
With their vision to unite the rhythms of the Americas, their music is uplifting, inspiring and unifying, and celebrates the melting pot of cultures that arose out of the African Slave Trade, whilst focusing on the Afro-Cuban and globalised SALSA idioms which have become significant musical languages and forms of solidarity and cultural exchange among communities throughout the world.
Whilst 'salsa' remains the focus of what they do, DIFFUSION isn't your regular 'salsa band'... It's a Latin band, in the wider sense; freely mixing 'salsa' idioms with other influences - African, Spanish, Antillean, Caribbean, South and North American - to bring you a fresh, funky and unique Latin music experience. With their critically acclaimed fusion of rhythms from throughout the Americas, DIFFUSION is one of the most exciting new projects to emerge on the UK Latin scene today.

Also included
We can provide a Yamaha 800-watt (8-input) P.A. system and up to 10 microphones (with keyboard and bass plugged directly into the P.A. system) at a small charge. This is suitable for the 5-9 piece band. For the 10-11 piece band, we would outsource a larger P.A., and the standard charge to cover costs of hire and production would be £200 per engagement.

The price brackets above should be used as a guide only as all quotes are bespoke.Performance times for most acts except Tributes and some other Unique performers are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 min sets. (If you require the act to perform longer than these times you may incur extra costs.)
Travel costs vary depending on the act and will be included to the quote given to you by our agents.
Our acts would usually expect to arrive around 6pm and to be finished around midnight.
(If you need the act to arrive earlier or finish later there may be extra costs but these can be negotiated.)
